As a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, with more than twenty five years of experience as a clinician and teacher, I work closely with patients to form a strong alliance that allows us to address current distress and symptoms, as well as the issues and patterns that began long ago. I help individuals, couples and families work toward their potential by enabling them to overcome challenges. My patients range in age from infancy to age 64.

I use a holistic, flexible and integrated approach for the assessment and treatment of mental health problems. I combine a number of different perspectives, including medical and evidence-based treatments along with psychoanalytic and developmental theory and techniques. I prescribe medication but only for patients whom I am treating in psychotherapy or psychoanalysis.
